Three residents, one obsession.

CardioLADs is a cardiovascular research initiative run by three internal medicine residents who met through a shared habit of reading trials at unreasonable hours. We publish observational and evidence-synthesis research, build free teaching tools, and try to make cardiology easier to learn.

Jay Gohri, MD

Jay grew up in New Delhi, India. His interests lie in cardiology, with a particular focus on heart failure and transplant, and he is happiest when a question demands going several layers deeper than the abstract. He works extensively with artificial intelligence, training models to support the group's analyses, and he writes the group's manuscripts. Colleagues know him for his grit, his tenacity and a steady supply of puns.

Adhish is from Chandigarh, India. He is interested in all of cardiology, with a growing pull toward electrophysiology. Experienced in statistics, he is the group's go-to for research design and the person to hand the databases and subanalyses to. Sharp, determined and endlessly inquisitive, he is also genuinely good company.

How this site stays current

An automated job queries PubMed every hour for randomized trials, secondary analyses, guidelines and society statements from the major cardiology and general medical journals, keeps only cardiology, sorts each paper into a subspecialty and builds a one-minute read from the abstract. When you open the home page, your browser also asks PubMed directly for anything indexed since the last build, so new papers surface within minutes of appearing. The guideline library, conference calendar, drug reference and question bank are curated by hand and versioned in the site's repository.
